Lewis "Woody" Underwood

Welcome to our 3rd Annual Children's Fair. This year we have been fortunate to procure the grassy expanse next to the tennis courts on the grounds of the Siam Bayshore Resort in South Pattaya for our family outing.

The planning of this event seems to start earlier each year and so, after a long haul, it is always good to see the culmination of our efforts with the commencement of the Fair. This year we have the largest selection of stalls ever in terms of type and number. Our grogram of events is full with entertainers and activities for the 6-hour duration of the Fair.

The staging of the Jesters Children's Fair would not have been possible without our dynamic organizational committee. Many thanks to our unprecedented 3 Platinum Sponsors this year: Niel Poulsen of Chonburi Siam Steel Mill Services, Shenanigans and Edgar Skjonhals of Orkide Ekspressen.

We would not have come this far without Susie Ngamsuwan (Web Mistress); Mike Franklin (PR, Advertising, Children's Raffle), Brendan Richards, Dan Dorothy, Dr. Iain Corness, Peter Malhotra, Tom, and Lek from the Pattaya Mail (Press and TV Coverage); Kim Fletcher (Sponsored Cycle Ride/Pub Night); Alice Poulsen (Stalls and Grand Raffle Prizes); Jill Thomas, Head Mistress of St. Andrew's (School Stalls); Neville Pick, CMYK Graphic Design (Stickers and Fair Program Guides); Hans Spoerri, GM of Siam Bayshore Resort; KhunSomkhit, Executive Assistant Manager of Siam Bayshore Resort, Kevin Mitch (Site Coordinator of Children's Fair); Graham MacDonald, for his help behind the scenes; and the rest of the Jesters Motorcycle club as well as the hotel staff.

The objective of the Jesters Care for Kids 2001 is to again raise money for the Fountain of Life Center. We go about this by seeking corporate and individual cash sponsorship; soliciting cyclists and sponsors for the Sponsored Bicycle Ride; selling event shirts as well as advertising space in our Fair Program Guide; renting stall space; peddling donated beer and selling Children's Raffle tickets on the day of the Fair.

Next Saturday, September 22nd, we will augment our fund-raising by hosting the Jesters Pub Night at Shenanigans, during which we will be auctioning items and selling tickets for our Grand Raffle.
