Whew! Now that the
Children's Fair is over, it is time for us adults to
have some fun this Saturday, September 21st, at the
Jesters' Pub Night being graciously hosted by Shenanigan's,
where it all started 5 years ago. This evening of a
variety of live music, interspersed with raffle draws
and auctioneering, is a celebration of another successful
Charity Drive and the culmination of the Jesters 'Care
for Kids' Charity Drive's Organizing Committee's efforts
for yet another year.
This year we are extremely happy to announce
that funds raised thus far have already been dispersed
to our 3 beneficiaries. Most recently the 600, 000 baht
project at Huay Pong (the Eastern Child Welfare Protection
Institute) project got underway involving the complete
renovation of the younger boys' dormitory and construction
of brand new toilet and bathing facilities.
The Pattaya Redemptorist School for the
Blind has so far received 172,000 baht, including 44,100
baht most recently for metal storage lockers. There
is approximately another 20,000 baht pledged, which
will most likely go towards shoe lockers outside the
classrooms. And our mainstay, the Fountain of Life's
Children's Center is banking the corporate checks that
are still coming in, which will continue to be used
for their operational costs, as well as medical and
dental treatment and scholarships for the kids.

 The
Jesters Pub Night will kick off Saturday evening around
6 PM starting with the now infamous Pattaya Panthers
and Panties Slave Auction. Grand Raffle tickets will
be sold on the spot throughout the evening until the
main draw. So prepare yourself for plenty of food and
drinks, some vigorous bidding, holding on to your raffle
tickets with bated breath, and live music to keep your
feet moving.
