The Jesters Care for Kids Charity Drive has grown now to a level hardly dreamed of in its early days. This is largely due to improved levels of organization through an executive committee combining the experience and talents of Jesters MC members, together with the large number of local Expatriate volunteers bringing a variety of professional skills to the table and a great deal of their time and money.
The Pledge for Kids program started out in 2002 when two of the local expatriates Mr. Philip A. McDonald and David W. Smith combined their skills and opportunity and came up with a natural extension to the Jesters funraising efforts.
The concept was simply to offer
people and companies, the opportunity to donate small monthly amounts rather than having to come up with a lump sum in September every year.
In the first full year of the pledge, just over 1 million baht was pledged to the Jesters Pledge for Kids program and the prog ram was off to a flying start with approximately 800,000 baht collected in its first term.
Today we have augmented the Pledge program to facilitate the opportunity for those who whish to donate small amounts on even an ad-hock basis (one-off or non-conforming to the regular programs) as well as any other form of donations that don't quite fit in the other categories.
As with all of our fund raising efforts here at he Jesters Care 4 Kids Charity Drive, we always go to exrodinary lengths to ensure that the absolute maximum amount of the funds raised goes to the DIRECT BENEFIT of the children that our beneficiaries support.
